Barinder is our practice principal and became a dentist because she is genuinely interested in caring for people. She believes that everyone should be able to smile with confidence and, during her years in practice, she has developed the skills to help her patients do just that.
Barinder qualified with honours from Guy’s King’s and St Thomas’s Dental Insitute in London in 2004, and went on to work in general dental practice.
She completed a SAAD course in 2007, which allowed her to spend time working alongside anaesthetists in a specialist referral practice, treating nervous patients using intravenous and inhalation sedation .In 2008 she completed a year- long course in cosmetic dentistry with Dr Chris Orr, during which time she learnt smile makeover techniques, tooth whitening and treatment planning.
In 2011, she went on to complete her MJDF RCS at the Royal College of Surgeons. Barinder then spent time working with a clinical instructor for Six Month Smiles before going on to become practice principal at Owlsmoor in 2016. In 2017 she went on to complete the UMD Level 3 course in Leadership and Management.
Her areas of interest include teeth whitening and teeth straightening, in particular the short-term orthodontic options, Six Month Smiles and Invisalign. Barinder is also able to provide anti-wrinkle injections, and is always expanding and updating her knowledge by attending dental courses.
When not extremely busy in the practice, she is kept just as occupied by her two lovely children- a boy and a girl. When she does have some spare time, she loves sampling new restaurants, yoga and is also developing an interest in photography.
